Robin is the senior partner and qualified with the AAT in 1988 whilst working for Chartered accountants in Leeds. He became a Fellow Member of the association in 1995 when his own business was in full swing. Robin spent two valuable years in industry before establishing R Stride & Co LLP in Harrogate. With his solid computer background at Wolverhampton Robin has used these skills to bring not only his business into today’s high technology age but also his clients businesses into the 21st century. His huge range of skills have helped with a wide diversity of clients and problems.
Donna is a partner in R Stride & Co and was fundamental in starting the business together with Robin.
Prior to 1995 when the business was formed she trained in two other accountancy practices developing skills in the small to medium business sector.
Her experience now is focused on Sole traders and small limited companies and deals with those tricky sets of books that clients provide in order to get some meaningful accounts prepared.
Kath is the overall office manager for R Stride & Co LLP
She is coming up to 20 years working for R Stride & Co.
Since February 2017 she has been promoted to Tax Manager and will be responsible for looking after the tax aspects of any personal tax clients.
Kath is a fully qualified accountant and has vast experience in all areas of accountancy and tax. Kath will be your person if you need clarification on any aspects of your tax affairs, from questions relating to Personal Tax or if you are a director.
Do you have a simple tax return, or more comlex issues such as Property Income, Capital Gains Tax etc ? Speak to Kath.
Linda has vast experience in the driving instructor industry and spends 100% of her time looking after these clients. Linda will be preparing your accounts from the information you provide, and in charge of the overall team.
She will be the first port of call for you as a driving instructor requiring any question relating to setting up, book keeping, accountancy and proceedures.
Maria has been with us since 2008 with vast experience dealing with VAT and spends 100% of her time looking after the book keeping and VAT work for clients.
Maria will be preparing your VAT returns and submitting to HMRC on your behalf from the information you provide.
She will be the first port of call for you to deal with any VAT enquiries, book keeping, accountancy and procedures.
She also has knowledge of Xero.
Sarah joined the firm in 2020 and has just passed her membership for AAT. She is now fully qualified.
She is currently training for her Chartered exams.
She quickly advanced from office junior and is now currently preparing accounts and tax returns for our sole trader clients.
Being the latest to qualify she has the latest up to date knowledge on all aspects of personal and business tax and would like to speak to you regarding any advice you wish to have.
Last year she took the leap and took over our payroll department, now running over 170 payrolls. If you have any payroll related questions from payslips, to employment contact questions, Sarah is the person for you!

Ivan joined in 2017 after completing his AAT qualifications and is now fully qualified. He has a wealth of knowledge in the driving instructor industry and manager for our in house department with other staff members looking after 100’s of driving instructors all over the country.

Sarah joined us in October 2022. You will meet her immediately upon entering the Harrogate office as she is running our front of house.
She will be your first port of call if you are wanting non technical tax questions answering. If you are based in York, try giving her a ring as she will be able to answer your question.
Beside reception duties Sarah is taking over the client on-boarding of the majority of our clients. If you are wanting to join our firm, Sarah will be the first person you need to speak to !

Julie is the newest member of the team and joined us in August 2024 and currently lives and works in sunny Portugal.
With her extensive administration skills she is a valued member of the team keeping our client database up to date.

Carl joined in November 2024 when merging with R Stride & Co and opening the York Office.
Carl ran his own practice for over 35 years following working for a number of accountancy practices in Leeds, which is where he first met Robin.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Financial Accountants, the Federation of Tax Advisers and the Institute of Public Accountants.
Carl specialises in HMRC Investigations, all aspects of tax advice, Financial Business Management and Limited Company, LLP, Sole Trader and Partnership Accounts.
Julie joined in November 2024 when merging with R Stride & Co and opening the York Office.
Julie has over 30 years’ experience in preparation of Accounts and Bookkeeping, including working with Carl for over 25 years.
Julie specialises in undertaking bookkeeping and submitting VAT returns both internally and aiding clients with training, advice and ongoing support.
Adam joined in November 2024 when merging with R Stride & Co and opening the York Office.
Adam has been working in practice since leaving school in 2007. He has also worked in industry alongside his practice role which saw him gaining valuable experience working as an accountant in the trustees department at a bank in Geneva.
Adam specialises in the preparation of Limited Company, LLP, Sole Trader and Partnership Accounts. He also undertakes Corporate and Personal Taxation computations and preparation of VAT returns and Bookkeeping.#
Kerry previously worked with Parker Hartley and joined R Stride & Co when Carl Parker merged with R Stride & Co in November 2024
She has vast amounts of Payroll knowledge and will be running the payroll department
Paula joined in November 2024 when merging with R Stride & Co and opening the York Office.
